1. Event Overview

  • Rising India Hackathon 1.0 is designed to aware, encourage and evaluate students' innovation, technical skills, and real-world problem analysis and solving abilities.
  • Participants will first compete with the ideas as per the provided Problem Statements.
  • Selected finalists will move to the final round where they will solve a real company-level problem statement.

2. Eligibility & Team Structure

  • Eligibility: The hackathon is open to all participants from any branch, any year, any college.
  • Team Size: Minimum 3 Members, Maximum 5 Members.

3. Event Dates & Venue

  • Dates: 21st & 22nd April 2026.
  • Venue: Nagpur Institute of Technology, Nagpur.

4. Reporting & Attendance

  • All teams must report at the college campus at 7:30 AM on 21st April 2026. (8:00 AM last entry time)
  • Only shortlisted teams must report at 7:30 AM on 22nd April 2026.
  • All participants must be punctual; late entries may lead to disqualification.
  • Only selected teams from Day 1 will be allowed to participate on Day 2.
  • Teams not shortlisted may leave the campus after the announcement of results.
  • All teams must report by 07:30 AM sharp for registration and setup.

5. Identification & Entry Rules

  • Participants must carry valid ID cards at all times during the event.
  • All participants must show their original college ID card when requested by officials.
  • Participants must carry and use the Nagpur Institute of Technology (NIT) issued ID card provided at the registration desk, displaying the team's unique ID (valid until finals).

6. Discipline & Conduct

  • All participants must maintain discipline and strictly follow event instructions.
  • Participants must maintain proper conduct and teamwork throughout the event.
  • All participants must follow instructions given by organizers and volunteers at all times.
  • Any damage to college property will lead to strict legal action. Participants must not damage any college property. Littering is strictly prohibited. Please keep the campus clean.

7. Participation Rules

  • All participants are required to collaborate through the team structure and follow event guidelines.
  • Only shortlisted teams will continue participation on Day 2.

8. Food & Accommodation

  • Accommodation will be provided only to outstation teams (outside Nagpur) who have already given consent for stay. (For Contact Prof. Subodh Gajbhiye - 9067399798)
  • Lunch on Day 1 will be provided by the organizing team.
  • Day 1 Dinner will be available through a paid coupon system.
  • Lunch on Day 2 for shortlisted teams will be available on a paid basis (Discounted Coupon), if required.
  • Dinner on Day 2 will not be provided by the organizing team.

9. Equipment & Responsibility

  • Participants must bring their own laptops, chargers, and required digital devices.
  • Extension boards will be provided, but each team must bring at least one for backup.
  • The organizers will not be responsible for any loss or damage of personal items.
  • Internet connectivity will be provided at the venue.
  • All participants are advised to bring their own water bottle.

10. Event Format & Rounds

Sequence_1

Day 1 – Presentation Round

All teams must develop a project based as per the provided Problem Statement. All participants are required to regularly push their code to the GitHub repository managed by the group leader. Only the group leader will be responsible for pushing the final integrated project code.

Sequence_2

Day 1 – Selection Process

Judges will evaluate all teams. Only selected teams will move to the Final Round. Finalist team names will be announced at the end of Day 1 and will also be communicated through the official WhatsApp group.

Sequence_3

Day 2 – Final Round

Industry problem statement will be given to shortlisted teams. Teams must prepare a PPT and develop a working solution/prototype within the given time, and demonstrate practical implementation.

11. Presentation & Evaluation

  • Day 1: Each team will get a total of 7 minutes for presentation and Q&A. 5 minutes for project presentation and demonstration (2 minutes for 5 slides of the PPT and 3 minutes for Platform demo). 2 minutes for Q&A with judges. All presentations will be conducted at the team's desk.
  • Day 2: Each shortlisted team will get a total of 7 minutes for presentation and Q&A. 5 minutes for project presentation and demonstration (2 minutes for slides of the PPT and 3 minutes for Platform demo). 2 minutes for Q&A with judges.

12. AI Tool Usage

  • Use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or any other AI tools can be used.
  • Tools are allowed for ideation and coding assistance.

13. Originality Policy

  • All projects must be original.
  • Plagiarism or pre-built submissions will result in immediate disqualification.

14. General Guidelines

  • Participants must adhere to all rules and guidelines throughout the event.
  • The decision of the judges and organizing committee will be final and binding.
